OPN-305: a TLR-specific monoclonal antibody

Opsona has a fully humanised anti-TLR antibody, and preliminary research indicates that this compound is a potent inhibitor of TLR mediated pro-inflammatory cytokine production.

Positive pre-clinical data has been generated in multiple models of diseases, including cardiac and kidney ischemia/reperfusion injuries, sepsis, as well as ex - vivo models of human Rheumatoid Arthrisis.

Research also suggests that the scope for TLR antagonists such as OPN-305 extends to other important inflammatory diseases including diabetes, lupus and Alzheimers Disease.

Development

Humainsation of this antibody is now complete, and Opsona is currently progressing with GMP Manufacturing. Currently Opsona intends to develop the antibody through to the completion of phase II human trials.

Patents

Opsona has several patents surrounding OPN-305, including compositions, methods and epitope binding domains.
